Read moreWe set out on a mission to create a day nursery in which children between 2 months old and 5 years of age would be able to learn and grow in confidence. Bright Start also offers wraparound care for children up to the age of 8, so we can continue to nurture your children during the first few years of their school journey.
Studies have shown that children do better when they are encouraged to learn using play as a method of teaching… and we wanted to expand and explore this concept to help each of our little cherubs reach their full potential.

We teach young minds that being curious is a wonderful thing. They have so many exciting life adventures to look forward to – and we want to prepare them as best we can. We encourage each child in our care to explore the world in the way they know best, with their imaginations!
It is our aim that each and every child leaves us improved. Whether that be in terms of speech, social awareness, problem solving – or any other area where your child is struggling. We are here to actively encourage learning through good fun… no matter the stage of learning they are at.
Of course, here at Bright Start Day Nursery, we want each of our children to feel included. That's why we support equal opportunities for all!
Nursery is a great place to start to learn social skills, and at Bright Start we make this a fun experience for every child. Our children can form these early friendship bonds in our variety of play areas.
We have very high security standards and all staff are fully vetted and checked to ensure the safety of the children. Safety and security begins at the front door and continues throughout our nursery.
At Bright Start our staff are passionate about their work and dedicated to the children in their care. We have chosen over qualified staff to ensure the very best care for the children and their development.
Through play, children develop problem-solving skills, imagination and creativity, language and observation skills, and memory and concentration. This is at the core of our ethos at Bright Start.
Enrolling my daughter at Gracias Semilla was the best decision we made for her education. Beyond the impressive academic curriculum, the school has intentionally nurtured her leadership skills and self-confidence. She is not just learning; she is thriving in an environment that truly sees her potential.
The dedication of the staff at Gracias Semilla is unparalleled. They create a 'home away from home' atmosphere where children feel safe to explore their talents. My son’s progress in both his creative arts and core subjects has been remarkable. It is a school that truly plants seeds of greatness.
There are a number of mandatory guidelines we need to follow to ensure we are meeting national requirements. The standards we work with are the Early Years Foundation Stage standards set back in 2012. This framework is a great starting point, but we do add to the schedule.
At any point, parents of our children may request a curriculum. We will keep you informed of the day-to-day lessons as we work

Studies have shown that children do better when encouraged to learn through play — and at Gracias Semilla, we've built our entire ethos around this principle. Every room, every resource, and every member of staff is chosen with one goal in mind: helping each child reach their full potential.
Our four pillars guide everything we do — from the way we design our classrooms to the way we welcome each family.

Our nursery curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, adapted for the youngest learners through play, song, sensory activities, and loving interactions.
Sand, water, paint, texture boards, and light tables stimulate babies' and toddlers' senses, building neural pathways from the very beginning.
Songs, rhymes, stories, and responsive conversations are woven into every part of the day to build early communication and listening skills.
Tummy time, soft play, climbing frames, and outdoor activities support gross and fine motor development at every stage.
Sharing, turn-taking, and forming bonds with peers and key workers builds emotional resilience and social confidence from day one.
Daily music sessions with instruments, movement, and singing support rhythm, coordination, listening, and pure joyful expression.
Books, pictures, and play that celebrate different cultures, languages, and traditions — reflecting the diverse community we serve in Lagos.
We know starting nursery is a big moment — for babies and parents alike. Our settling-in process is gradual and completely led by your child's comfort.
Before your child starts, their key worker may arrange a home visit so your child meets a familiar face in a familiar place first.
We start with short, parent-present sessions, gradually building to longer stays as your child's confidence and comfort grows.
Photos, observations, and daily activity summaries sent to parents throughout the day so you always feel connected to your child's world.
Our primary school provides a world-class education for children aged 5 to 11. We combine a strong academic curriculum with an equally strong focus on character, values, creativity, and community — because we believe education is about the whole child, not just test scores.
Our small class sizes ensure every child receives personalised attention. Our passionate, qualified teachers inspire a genuine love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
